Synapxe (formally known as Integrated Health Information Systems (IHiS)) is the nexus of HealthTech, connecting people and systems to power a healthier Singapore. Together with partners, Synapxe creates intelligent technological solutions to improve the health of millions of people, every day, everywhere.

Synapxe now supports the operations of 46 public healthcare institutions, including acute hospitals and polyclinics, and some 1,400 community partners such as nursing homes and general practitioners (GPs).

In its role as the National Release Centre, Synapxe oversees the distribution of SNOMED CT Contents, the maintenance of the Singapore Drug Dictionary (SDD), and management of Singapore Affiliates.

As of January 2024, both SNOMED CT & SDD are widely adopted across the island’s public healthcare sector, proficiently capturing clinical diagnoses and medication records in individual electronic medical systems. They now play a vital role as part of the nation’s main terminologies for health data exchanges and is a key enabler towards Singapore’s strategic vision of "One Patient, One Health Record".
